| So I decided I want to clear out my bookcase in my room. Get rid of all the magazines and children's books from my past (or at least move them). I want to replace them with all the books I read in high school and beyond. You know, the classics. I want Things Fall Apart, Lord of the Flies, The Scarlet Letter, and everything else I read and had to once analyze. Then I want to fill it with more novels I was never forced to read but should anyways. Like Pride and Prejudice, 1984, The Catcher in the Rye. This will be my new project after I finish painting the bathroom, powerwash and stain the deck, and fix something else my parents have on a list for me. I've never been one to read a lot for pleasure, but I feel like I need to change that. I'm starting with the newer book by Chuck Palahniuk, Snuff. Not a great American classic in any sense of the word but hell the tag line is "Six hundred dudes. One porn Queen. A world record for the ages."  ~Lisa |
